I became friends with Marty through Simon, who worked with him. In the mid 90s I split up from my husband and moved back to Kings Lynn, leaving my friendship group behind in Heacham. Straight away Marty welcomed me into his friendship group and was so kind and lovely to me when all my world was upside down after my marriage break up. We spent many years of meeting up at various pubs on a Friday night, chatting and having a laugh. Looking back some of my favourite nights out were with Martin and Lisa either at the Porterhouse, White Hart or the Ouse Booze. He helped make me get through a very difficult time in my life, bringing laughter and fun with his laid back view on life. I do honestly believe that people come into your life for a reason and I was incredibly blessed to have had Marty come into mine when I need a friend. Bless you dear Martin, and thank you for your support and friendship.

I met Martin at Job Club way back in 1989, he always was accompanied by a fetching hat and sometimes dressed rather dapper, a lovely chap with a big heart, a great listener , I shall miss seeing him around the town. Rest easy bud and thanks
