Treasured memories of our little visits. George was so down to earth and said what he thought - Bernie and George got on so well together, lots of laughs. Thinking of you all. Sending our sincere condolences and love from all the Pledge family x

George joined in Marina’s love of gardening and fed the local birds and Monk Jacks right up to the end. Dad was still driving his finely kept Citroen past his 95th birthday but had to revoke his license when heart problems took over. His many friends at the Forget-me-not luncheon club supported by Kings Lynn Rotary at Gaywood Church Hall with Padre Robert amongst his notable friends. His loyal dog Lottie has been re-housed with Danielle and her family and will be a tidy reminder in the years to come of George’s love and compassion for his many children, grand children and great grand children not forgetting his many, many friends.

The time we had, Dad, Wasn't nearly enough To pack in an entire Lifetime of love. There are so many questions That I need answers to, But now that you're gone There's no way to ask you. But there are still photos To remember you by, Each time I look at them, I still want to cry. They say grief is easier to bear as time goes by, But the doesn't stop me from wondering why? Why my dear, sweet dad Was taken so soon, When he was my guiding star, My sun and my moon. There are no answers To a question like this, So I'll cherish your memory, And mourn the years we'll miss. George is pictured with Marina who are united once more in heaven

Garrett Family "Ode to George"

Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.

When I am gone do not fear my my memory. Do not be afraid to speak my name or look through my old photographs. I know it will hurt ,those memories will remind you I am gone. Speak my name, hear my voice play my favourite music. That's how I can stay alive a little, right here with you. X

From the moment we contacted them by phone, until Sam and the coffin bearers left us at the crematorium they were pitch perfect. The options were explained to us by Nicky who was professional, compassionate and warm. On the actual day at the Church and Crematorium the arrangements they had made worked faultlessly. "When you need a friend......." I can't thank them enough.
