Maggie was a lovely mother-in-law, kind and generous and always pleasant and smiley. She was clever , diplomatic and discreet… never telling tales about one member of the family to another. It was very sad that she began to get ill and to loose her memory in those last few years of her life but I think she was content . She loved her garden and dogs especially. Finally when she went to live at Millbridge home she was was really well looked after by the wonderful and kind staff there . They were very fond of her and I’m not surprised. We will miss her.

Maggie came into my life in 1972 when I first started going out with Pete when I was an 18 year old student, she was not yet 40. She was so welcoming and generous from the start and continued to be so ever since. She was working at the bank in East Croydon at that time, I have wonderful memories of her lavish dinner parties, martinis and lemonade and empire line maxi dresses. Her lovely blond curly hair was straightened every morning before work with carmen rollers. She enjoyed summer holidays in Majorca from where she returned with a golden tan. She was great fun. Maggie was a very energetic person and did most things at top speed and she seemed to pack so much into her day but there was always a fantastic roast dinner on Sunday . When her and Dave moved to the shop in Snettisham she worked tirelessly to make it a success. It was in great contrast to her former life but she enjoyed returning to the place where she was brought up. When David had his devastating stroke she was so strong and looked after him with love and care even though he could be pretty grumpy at times. When my marriage to Peter ended she remained a friend and always had a welcome smile when I popped in to see her . Maggie was a loyal wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always welcoming and never judgemental. I will miss her .

Maggie I remember Maggie as a part of our gang of English who came to the Bay of the Somme at the end of the last century. Maggie was always a pleasure to see on her visits, always a friendly face, genuinely interested in our latest news, projecting fun with that big smile, and I cannot remember her with any other expression. She deserved to pass on easily, and I know she had Pete with her, with Pip's support, so she was not alone in her last years, lifting from her any burdens of responsibilities. With fondest memories

All staff was excellent, Andrew in particular where nothing was any trouble with what was a difficult time for all the family. They made the process so much easier for which we are all eternally grateful. Thank you.
