Ashwinkumar was gem of our family. A truly pure soul and always helping everyone in all possible ways... We're left wordless at this occasion. May his soul rest in peace and may God give strength to Janki, Bena, Kartik and all of us to pass through this difficult times. We truly believe he'll always be with us like he's been so far... I knew Ashwinbhai for over a period of 30 years. Over this time, I was most impressed by his unfaltering dedication to his family and exceptionally rare work ethics. How he juggled two at times jobs, all home duties and visiting family across England is beyond me. It was most impressive that despite facing more adversity, trials and tribulations in life than most people, Ashwin never lost his faith nor his smile. I find it very hard to recall that when I saw Ashwin six some weeks ago he was planning to tackle some DIY jobs in the house. It pains me to recall that majority of my encounters with Ashwin was on my doorstep, when Ashwin would deliver Gujarati sweets and savouries from London, Leicester, Wolverhampton or Manchester. Pushpa and myself would insist for him to come in for short time. Invariably he did not as he was always too busy, either going somewhere or on his way to home, work or shopping. It goes without saying that how very much we appreciate the 5-minute chats we had on the doorstep. As Pushpa visited Ashwin and Sadhana a few times a week, in addition to a few telephone calls a day our lives were very intertwined. Furthermore, Pushpa holidayed with Sadhana and Ashwin to India numerous times, where one of his jobs was to look after all luggage (two ladies!) , a job that I would not relish. I shall definitely miss the goodies from across the country and even more Ashwinbhai’s smile. Pushpa and myself will miss Ashwin even more as his departure leaves a void in our lives, which will be hard to fill. May Ashwinbhai rest in peace.

Our dearest Mama. Always happy, always full of life, always kind, always making everyone smile and making family feel so important. A loving big brother, a caring mama and a person with the kindest heart. We can only aspire to live life with such kindness and dignity the way that he did, always showering his blessings upon us kids. Forever in our hearts and dearly missed, bhagwan aathma ne shaanti aape, aaj prathna. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om. X

I worked with Ashwin for several years. The circumstances were not easy, but he worked extremely hard, and always maintained a brilliant sense of humour. He was caring, kind and devout. He had a very different life from me, and taught me much about things I knew nothing about. He was a proud and devoted family man, adored his wife and children and would do anything for them. He also gave generously to charity. A thoroughly decent and good man, lost too soon, and a huge shame there aren't more like him.

A favourite memory of my family is Mr Joshi attending our wedding with Mrs Joshi and Kartik. Janki had just had her first child, yet you made the effort to be there, to be present. That is a moment we will never forget! In addition, visiting your home as a teenager always made my day! I always felt soo warm and welcomed, from joining in for lunch and for prayers - I definitely adopted myself into your family as your daughter! Mr Joshi, the blessing that you were to us will forever be remembered. Rest well, your adopted daughter Enyojo ❤️

At a traumatic time in our lives, Thornalley were a shining light of professionalism, kindness and understanding. It was the greatest comfort to feel confidence in their handling of the funeral. They excelled themselves in every stage of the process and we could not recommend Thornalley highly enough. Thank you for looking after our loved one with grace and understanding.
