In memory of our dear friend John Walker

John and Gillian Mclennan

John was a great supporter of the arts which was how Margaret and I first met him and Helen. They became firm friends and they were good artists too! Now John has gone and dear Helen is moving away to be near her daughter so we shall greatly miss them both. But, they will always be fondly remembered.

You will be missed by so many people John, your warm smile and open arms whenever you greeted us will always be remembered as will your wonderful paintings. It was a lucky day when I met you in Ithaca on that painting holiday. Lawrence and I have great memories, thank you for being a good friend xx

Dave has wonderful memories of John as a friend and team member of Mitcham Athletics Club back to 1959. The highlight being a camping trip to Sweden, fraught with disasters and hilarious antics. John's humour and talent will be missed, but never forgotten.

Dave and Daphne Badgery

I am very lucky to have met John and Helen painting in Greece and even more privileged to have their friendship for so many years. John, you were such a gentleman and positive person, not to mention talented. I will miss you. Love Lynn

Everyone at Thornalley went out of their way to ease the pain. Nothing was too much trouble and my husband was treated with respect and dignity. Thank you seems inadequate. You are the best for a reason.
